1 / How does a belly painting session work?

Fill out my contact form and I will get back to you in 24 hours. From there, we will choose a date and time to meet up. The session can take anywhere from 1 -2.5 hours depending on the design. Jo’s intent is to provide you with a beautiful picture while painting your belly. Together we will collaboratively come up with an image for your belly. The goal is to visually portray the inner beauty of your pregnancy using the power of color and intentional imagery.

2 /Are any photos included? 

You will receive 2 Polaroid pictures taken by me, for a small keepsake.

If you would like professional photos, I have teamed up with Lauren from Birth by Honeybrown. Lauren’s intent is to capture your belly by telling a story of natural and honest moments. She thinks the best moments happen by accident. Lauren’s mission is to offer clients something concrete to look at and remember their pregnancy with.  

Lauren offers photos for $200 and you get a full 20 minute maternity session with your bellies and a digital download. 

3 / When is the ideal time to paint my belly?

I always suggest when you feel most comfortable, but a good time is between 6 to 8 months. 

4 / Where do we paint and how does it feel? 

In the comfort of your home! I have been told it tickles a little bit and that it is a relaxing time. Clients enjoy watching the painting process. 

5 / What do I wear? 

I suggest you wear what you are comfortable in! I do recommend wearing neutrals as then we can do any colors while painting without things clashing, A bralette is always comfortable and some jeans if you need an idea. 

6 / Price

$150 for the the session with 2 Polaroid pictures. Additional $50 if travel is to the city. 

If you would like to add on Lauren's services that will be an additional $200 with 20 maternity pictures with bellies and a digital download gallery.
